Women owned business peer mentoring available!

ASPIRING BUSINESS ADVISORY COUNCIL

About this Program

The Aspiring Business Advisory Council (BAC) is a mentoring program of the Jacksonville Women’s Business Center. This BAC is a facilitated, peer-to-peer mentoring roundtable made up of dynamic business startups. This mentoring program provides the members with a confidential and interactive forum to expand their business knowledge, develop and apply critical skills, and reach their business potential.

Why Women Business Owners Participate

Entrepreneurs commit to this program because they are willing to give and take advice, openly and honestly; to share ideas, brainstorm, network, and form a mutual support system of encouragement and accountability with other business owners. They arrive with issues and challenges and leave with resources, ideas and practical solutions to:

· Overcome feelings of anxiety related to starting a new business

· Build confidence and make informed decisions

· Identify critical functions within the five core areas

· Develop a clearer vision for the success of their company

How it Works

Once accepted, each participant is assigned to a 10-member group of aspiring business owners who are at the beginning stage of business development. The purpose of the six sessions is to help aspiring small business owners identify and analyze gaps in their business operations. Selected participants will understand general functions for operating an efficient business; develop business systems, process and procedures; and share resources that could save time and money.

Your Commitment

Participants agree to:

· Attend the six (6) session program delivered over a three month meeting cycle

· Contribute to the group with a spirit of cooperation and encouragement

· Invest the non-refundable* tax deductible fee of $150

*only if selected for enrollment in the program
