SEO Techniques

It’s amazing to see many affiliates struggling to make commissions because they don’t know or they just neglect the importance of search engine optimization for affiliate marketing. An affiliate website well optimized that provides useful information can perform very well if you manage to get it on the first page of Google, Yahoo and MSN in a profitable niche.
For an affiliate website to attain excellent rankings, you need to take care of these search engine optimization basics…
Let’s start by on-page optimization:

1)Optimize your title tags.
Your title tag is very important in the eyes of the search engines, so do not forget to put your keywords.
2)Use the header tag.
It’s amazing to see how many affiliates and web masters in general forget to add the most important header tag to their site: H1

3) Use the right keywords on your web pages.
Before writing your articles, be sure to carry out a keyword research and use these keyword along with related keywords in your article.
4) Your web pages must be focused on one or two keywords.
Target one or two keywords only per web page.
While on-page optimization is important for your website, what will really make the difference is off-page optimization.

Buy Relevancy, Not PageRank

An effective method of link building is purchasing links from high quality relevant websites who are willing to sell advertising space. The link-text advertising model has eased the process of attaining links.
Link Buying Tip #1: Buy Relevancy, Not PageRank

The first criteria when buying links should be the relevancy of the web page where your link will be placed. Buying links based solely on PageRank is not recommended. There are many linking factors that contribute to high search engine rankings and buying links solely on PageRank will not accomplish your goals. This is why it is not unusual to see pages with a low PageRank ranking high on Google.
Relevant links are links on websites that have a chance at reaching your target market. If you have a real estate website then of course advertising on other real estate websites or real estate sections would be a good choice but advertising on other related sites such as: mortgage sites, moving company sites, local area guides, etc, would also be relevant to your general theme. It does not seem that Google, Yahoo, or MSN are currently giving more weight to themed links but it will happen in the future.
There are many reasons to make relevancy the number one criteria when buying text link ads.

Search engine optimization, more commonly known as SEO. The key for every website to the front pages of Google and Yahoo, the most desired spot for most businesses. So how exactly do you get there?

The search engine engineers have never fully revealed the secrets behind the art of SEO, plus the methods are forever changing, however, there are a few known ways and constants that will forever (or at least for a very long time) remain important to search engines and their spiders (they crawl your website for good content) and i shall, against the wishes of many SEO experts, reveal some of the tricks of the trade to you.

1. Design
The design of a webpage is crucial in all aspects. The way the headings are placed and the locations on the website they are placed are crucially important factors. The optimum placing for headings would as most people would guess correctly, be near the top of the page. However, be careful not to use pictures and images as your headings because the spider is unable to understand pictures (at least not yet) unless you know how to mask the codes.

10 Tips I Use To Build Traffic

1. Make use of article distribution sites. This is one of the fastest, and most straightforward ways of getting your content ‘out there’ and absorb by websites. Do it as soon as you have enough original content. Don’t go for too many, just select about 3 article distributions sites and submit away (I like EzineArticles, IdeaMarketers and GoArticles).
2. Insert images into your web pages. I checked my logs and I have proof that images draw in a lot of ‘extra’ traffic. People search for images as well as web pages. So if your web page is about ‘how to buy a laptop’ and you have a picture named ‘how-to-buy-a-laptop.jpg’ – you will cover both the image searches and text searches.
3. Participate very actively in ONE forum. If you participate in an online forum, you will slowly build credibility with your web readers. Don’t spam – please – just contribute and solve others’ problems. And my style is to select only ONE forum to participate in. That way, you can build up your contribution base very quickly. If folks see you have 1000 posts in a forum, they tend to read what you say. And that means they are more likely to click your links or signature.
4. Send out your newsletter regularly. This is another important point.

Why is link popularity the top factor in search engine rankings ?

The Value of Links versus Content

It used to be said that content is king. And while content is an important ingredient in developing a commercially successful website, link popularity is proving to be the deciding factor on what will or will not rank well, especially on Google. Off page criteria has grown into the primary ranking factor in the major search engines. Link popularity analysis makes Google famous

The biggest feature that sets Google apart from their search engine competition was PageRank. Most search engines at the time looked at on-page factors to analyze what a web page was about. On-page factors are essentially how a website reads and the words contained therein. There was no verification from other parties.
What Google did was analyze what other websites were saying about a particular web page by analyzing incoming links to a website. Google’s algorithm ranks websites primarily on:
1. The volume of incoming links to a webpage. 2. The quality of the incoming links to a webpage. 3. The anchor text (link text) of the incoming link to your webpage. Volume of Links

The more links pointing to a website, the more important it is assumed to be. This is part of what goes into the mix of calculating PageRank.

One of the phenomena of the Web is that it all looks so easy. After all, it just takes some typing, a few graphics and a link here or there to create a web page, right?

But it’s more complex than that when you’re serious about doing business online. In fact, it takes a TEAM to create a profitable online business. So who is on your web team?

You, the business owner, are an important part of the web team. You are the person who sets the direction. And you ensure that direction is followed. Just because you are not technical does not mean you should compromise your vision. Stick by your guns and have the technical staff set it up to your standards.

Your Web Designer. He or she is a professional who combines both artistic and technical skills. They may choose to outsource the graphics or the programming, but their specialty is ensuring that your site looks good and functions properly. Your web designer may only create your site, then leave the maintenance to someone else in the organization or they may stay on for the maintenance role.

What Is Ajax

Writen by Nipun Chadha

We were getting a number of querries from our clients and friends, asking about what AJAX is? With the development of Microsoft’s Live, everyone is going crazy about AJAX. So, we at Xaprio Solutions thaught of publishing this small article about AJAX, which will help you guys understand it better.

Like DHTML, LAMP, or SPA, Ajax is not a technology in itself, but a term that refers to the use of a group of technologies together. In fact, derivative/composite technologies based substantially upon Ajax, such as AFLAX, are already appearing. The Term AJAX refers to, Asynchronous JavaScript and XML.

For a number of tasks, only small amounts of data need to be transferred between the client and the server, allowing a number of Ajax applications to perform almost as well as applications executed natively on the user’s machine. This has the effect that pages need only be incrementally updated in the user’s browser, rather than having to be entirely refreshed. “Every user’s action that normally would generate an HTTP request takes the form of a JavaScript call to the Ajax engine instead”, wrote Jesse James Garrett, in the essay that first defined the term. “Any response to a user action that doesn’t require a trip back to the server ?

Web Accessibility For Screen Magnifier Users

Writen by Trenton Moss

The needs of screen magnifier users are overlooked when implementing web accessibility on to a website. Screen magnifiers are used by partially sighted web users to increase the size of on-screen elements. Some users will magnify the screen so that only three to four words are able to appear on the screen at any one time. You can try using a screen magnifier yourself by downloading the Zoomtext screen magnifier from http://www.aisquared.com/Products/ZoomText8_mag/FreeTrial/Z8FreeTrial.htm for a free 30 day trial.

The good news is that some of the basic principles for improving accessibility and usability for screen magnifiers users, also increase usability for everyone. To help, we’ve listed six ways to improve accessibility and usability for screen magnifier users:

1. Don’t embed text within images

Text embedded within images can become blurry and pixelated when viewed in screen magnifiers, and therefore completely illegible. This is especially true when the image text is rather poor quality, so if you absolutely have to embed text within images then make sure the image is of high quality. Many screen magnifier users can find it quite difficult to read text at the best of times, so when it appears fuzzy to them it can become difficult to impossible to read.

It’s not usually necessary to embed text within images anymore, as most presentational effects can now be achieved with CSS.
