Just ahead of a weekend summit on the economy with world leaders, President George W. Bush served up a stirring defense of free markets in a speech on November 13.
Most notably, President Bush said:
This is a decisive moment for the global economy. In the wake of the financial crisis, voices from the left and right are equating the free enterprise system with greed and exploitation and failure.
