Payday loans are stop gap arrangement loans taken until the next payday by the borrower. The main reason for taking this type of loan is to avoid borrowing from friends and relatives even on a short term basis, as many of us feel this as an emotional issue.
Nowadays, online payday loans are easily available, whereby consumer fills up an online application form, filling relevant details like bank account numbers, copies of check, recent bank statement etc. The loan is directly deposited into the consumers account and the loan repayment is also electronically withdrawn.
As this is a short term affair, the money lender charges comparatively a very high rate of interest. Hence, this type of borrowing should be for a very specific purpose type of expenditure only like this:
- Emergencies - When sudden emergencies occur, payday loans which are available online is a quick option
- When unexpected contingencies like a forgotten earlier commitment has to be fulfilled, payday loans are the answer.
- Unexpected medical expenses and accidents have to be taken care of under any circumstances.
- Any sudden expense, like purchasing an object in an auction, which is a one time affair, requires a payday loan.
- Sometimes even our close friends or relatives might come under sudden stress and require our immediate help.
In a nutshell, when a sudden demand is made from us which is outside the purview of our current budget, the payday loan is the answer.
But the main problem about the payday loans is that the mindset of the borrower gets changed to the habit of going in for them on even flimsy grounds, with scant regard to the budgetary allocations and the resultant debt trap into which they fall. Like the addiction to alcohol or drugs, the payday loan borrower gets addicted to the habit of payday loans on a monthly basis.
In the long run, the money being fleeced from the short term payday loan borrower is quite huge, and had it not been incurred, he would have made a lot of money in life. If we are living a life of paycheck to paycheck, and experience a sudden emergency requiring liquid cash or cash advance, instead of payday loan, additional alternatives have to be better found in order to have a peaceful life.
