Mario Gotze is set to return with Borussia Dortmund
Borussia Dortmund’s Mario Gotze has shown a positive improvement from his recovery of his metabolic condition. Gotze has been absent for Borussia Dortmund since February 2017.
Mario Gotze returns to Borussia Dortmund from Bayern Munich at the start of the 2016-17 season. However, he only recorded 16 appearances and contributed two goals for Die Borussen.
The record is because the player suffers from myopathy, a metabolic disease that makes a person get tired quickly and have weight problems.
After undergoing treatment for five months, Mario Gotze hopes to participate in preseason activities Borussia Dortmund. Gotze claimed to have experienced a positive development of the disease he suffered.
“Over the past few months, I have undergone intensive treatment and have shown positive developments, I’m back on track to get back into play.”
“I will start the third stage of my recovery program, this means I will complete the test and start training with the team in the near future.”
“I am very happy to be back at the stadium and the practice site again,” Gotze said.
Borussia Dortmund will undergo preseason activities 2017 in the Asian continent. Die Borrusen will face Urawa Red Diamonds in Japan (15/7/2017) and AC Milan in China (07/18/2017).
